Murder, Itemized is Book 1. It introduces Cora Whitcomb, Whitcomb Estate Services, Hawthorne Reach, Moss, Detective Colin Ashe, and the first case in which Cora encounters the object impressions later known as Echoes.
Reading in order is recommended. Every book is designed to deliver a complete fair-play mystery, but the town, recurring relationships, Cora’s second-chance arc, and the deeper rules of the Echoes build from book to book.
